Customer-Centricity

About BoolRider
BoolRider began at UIUC in May 2026 after Aidan repeatedly helped friends get to and from school on drives he was already making.
Students often have to plan around a bus that may be booked, expensive, or scheduled at a time that does not work. Snapchat and GroupMe can help, but only when you already have the right connections. Meanwhile, another verified student may already be driving the same direction with an empty seat.
BoolRider was created to close that gap.
We focus on travel home and back to school—not on-demand rides around town. BoolRider is built for weekends, breaks, airports, nearby cities, and the longer-distance trips college students already make.
“Bool” is slang for hanging out with friends. “Rider” makes the transportation purpose clear. Together, the name reflects a practical way for students to travel with people from their college community.
Both founders have studied at UIUC and understand its campus and transportation system firsthand. Launching here lets us stay close to our first users and improve the product before expanding to campuses across the United States.
Our values
We begin with the students using BoolRider and make decisions around what improves their experience.
We look for practical new ways to make student transportation simpler, more useful, and more accessible.
We care deeply about BoolRider and the students who depend on it. We act honestly and never knowingly put the company, its users, or its reputation at risk for short-term gain.
We hold ourselves and one another accountable, communicate openly, follow through, and take ownership so BoolRider remains a company its users and employees can be proud of.
